We flipped burgers the other day. Not just regular hamburgers, but these were salmon burgers.  This was the result of another foray to ALDI. 

A well grilled hamburger with all to toppings is just about as simple and perfect a dish can get for most people.  Just about anyone can make a hamburger, and when you are tired after a long day, this is the dish that many will make, simple, fast, and tasty. Grilled hamburgers great, but every once in a while we like a little change.  So we decided to try ALDI's salmon burgers out.  These came as pre-made patties.  They had a little smoke flavoring added as well.  From the ingredients list, I noticed there were some preservatives added, but it did not look like there were too many fillers added. 

 

 



I cooked them as per the instructions on the package, except I seared in some grill marks, as I did with the bacon wrapped turkey fillets. The salmon burgers came out well.  We decided to serve them as if we were eating at a diner, as a sandwich with curly fries on the side.  We topped the burgers with swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. We also put a little mayonnaise and ketchup.

At your next barbecue, you may want to surprise your guests by offering something just a little different than the old standard of hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill.
